Working with hand-tools

These joiners worked with many hand-tools, on timber and plastics, each representing different challenges.  Joinery is often ‘price work’, so there is pressure for workers to remain quick at doing their job as well as delivering a high quality finish. The tools used most often were; hammers (claw/framing), electric drill/drivers, saws and saw stools/hop-ups.

When working with hand-tools it is important to think about how they can affect you and other people.
